Summit Plaza
Located in Jersey City, Summit Plaza is the state’s largest privately-held Section 8 housing complex and provides housing for more than 1,200 people, including many long-term, elderly and disabled residents as well as families with more than five members-defined by HUD as “most vulnerable populations.”
In what has become a pioneering example of urban housing preservation, Belveron’s investment allowed for $18.5 million in renovations and modernizations, which were completed in 2019. The complex also received its first-ever outdoor garden, a new playground and colorful murals to improve residents’ quality of life. To ‘green’ the property and its operations, a solar photovoltaic system, energy efficient windows and water conservation fixtures were also installed.
